Almost everybody secretly fantasizes about the magic diet that easily takes the weight off and keep the weight off. The diet industry is booming because of all the programs, websites, and books that promise the miracle has been discovered. There are dietary aids that claim impossible results. There are extreme surgeries that actually carry a serious risk of death, but people line up to get their shot at the miracle. There are gyms that purposefully create their pay scales so that people end up spending hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars on a gym membership they’ll never use. But all of this is unnecessary! It is not easy to lose weight, but it is possible, by making some very simple changes in your life. Safe weight loss is not only possible, it happens all the time!

Before you begin any major lifestyle change, you should consult your primary physician. If there are any problems or things you should avoid, then you can find out then. And make no mistake. This is definitely a lifestyle change. Safe weight loss can’t happen unless you are willing and able to change the way you live your life, change the relationship you have with food, and change your daily routine.

The formula for safe weight loss is actually very, very simple. First, lower the number of calories you eat on a daily basis. Most people do not need more than two thousand calories to be healthy. You should also burn more calories than you intake. Some calories are burned naturally in the course of your day. For the rest, there’s exercise.
