You only get one body. How long that body lasts depends mostly on how you treat it. There are other factors, especially genetics, but personal health and fitness is not completely out of your hands. There are many things you can do to not only prolong your life, but also increase the general quality of life. There are many, many different things you can do to improve the quality of life. Personal fitness and health does not just involve exercising and eating right. It also means having a safe and protected sex life, seeing to your mental health, making sure you are in healthy relationships, and encouraging healthy, daily habits. If one part of you is sick, then that’s going to have an effect on your entire body and view of the world.

Follow these simple guidelines to help promote your own personal fitness and health. First, stay active. You should be doing some sort of exercise for at least three days a week, twenty minutes per day. Second, eat right. Everybody is unique and has a different ideal diet, but regardless of what you choose, remember that there are certain calories that you do not need. Third, be sure to visit the physician and the dentist on a regular basis. The dentist really needs to check and clean your mouth twice a year! It will save you money in the long run. Fourth, be sure to find something that helps you de-stress. That can be anything from yoga, to exercising more, to meditation, to reading a good book every week. Stress causes its own health problems.
