Any sort of exercise you do basically falls under fitness exercises. Working out, whether it is aerobic, anaerobic, or strength training, can only increase your general health and fitness. Each one does it in a different way, and some people prefer one or the other, or have even found a satisfying way to mingle them into a hardcore, effective regimen. But if you just want some general suggestions to help you tone your muscles, increase your strength, and improve your circulatory, here are some very simple pointers.
First, you could always walk or jog! It is the very definition of free and easy. You can walk any time of the day and you can walk nearly anywhere. You can get a treadmill for the days when the weather does not allow for easy traveling. You can even get in the habit of walking in place in your own house. You can also jog in place or jog on the treadmill. This will increase your heart rate, improve your circulation, and tone your legs and lower body. Another simple thing to do is ride your bike. Once again, you can do it outside, or you can get a stationary bike. The stationary bike will allow you to ride for miles and miles every single day without leaving the comfort and safety of your own apartment. You can also get exercise tapes! Richard Simmons tapes are the most famous (who doesn’t remember exercising to the Oldies?), but there are actually many, many different people leading their own tapes and special brand of exercising. You just need to find the one that fits you.
